The exhibition Calder + Miró marks a very special moment of Casa Roberto Marinho by reuniting two fraternal giants of 20th-century art, who were engaged in an extensive playful dialogue involving invention, humor, syntheses and affinities.
It is also the first show leveraged by a collection of one of our namesake’s sons: the Karin and Roberto Irineu Marinho collection. Under the curatorship of Max Perlingeiro, their artworks are brought together in the space in Cosme Velho with works coming from 6 institutions and 32 private collections. We are grateful to them all.
Rio de Janeiro is thus receiving an exhibition that is born already inscribed as one of the most important in the city. We are happy to invite everyone to dive into it.
